Madhumitha Uday Kumar and Jagadeesh Kumar, the company’s co-founders, started looking for healthier alternatives after a cooking accident involving plastic kitchenware in the microwave. There were no trustworthy, wholesome, or accessible alternatives. They began to ponder the lack of a trustworthy manufacturer of healthful kitchenware. The Indus Valley was consequently created.

Founder Story

Jagadeesh Kumar and Madhumitha Udaykumar

Jagadeesh is an accomplished Co-Founder with a track record of employment in the household products sector. Solid business management expert with expertise in customer service, project management, and brand management (CRM). Kumar made huge strides, from being linked with TCS to co-founding The Indus Valley.

Madhumitha Udaykumar has worked with Deloitte previously as a business consultant and strategist. The creators hold that the tools you use are just as important as the contents. Due to the actual scarcity of kitchenware manufactured from organic fibers, the creation of The Indus Valley was caused by a cooking accident with plastic kitchenware. The potential choices have been either constructed of plastics or had a harmful layer applied to them to make them non-stick. They want to use some of the old materials, like soapstone and cast iron, again in contemporary kitchenware.
