Founder Story
Isha Gopal is the founder of Bloon Toys, a wooden toy brand that was born from her teacher training course-related revelations about child play in July of 2018. After finishing her MBA, Isha Gopal quickly trailed her career into education as she begun taeaching part-time as a teacher for a while. However, she was also doing a teacher-training course in Waldorf education which mesmerised her. While learning about Montessori methods, and the principles of free play, which is simply, allowing the child to govern the rules of their own playtime, Isha Gopal quickly realised the importance of toys,“..Creativity, empathy, grit – are all learned better through play. Toys are the new textbooks!”
Isha Gopal governed her toy designs through the principles of simplicity, sustainability, and open-ended play. She believes that allowing the child to engage with objects, figure their potentials, and use them in their own developed activities grows their cognitive and learning skills while allowing them to explore their creative and imaginative side at the same time. With a goal to withdraw children away from over-crowded schedules and lead them to free play, Isha Gopal continues growing Blood Toys in a child-friendly as well as eco-friendly way.
